Shilo Kino (Ngāpuhi, Tainui) is a journalist who previously worked for the New Zealand Herald. She is passionate about indigenous voices and her debut novel is due out soon with Huia Publishers. Shilo also speaks Mandarin and loves eating hot pot during the winter and dumplings all year round.
