Nancy Brunning is a renowned actor and director of theatre, film and television. Since her award-winning performance in Briar Grace Smith's 1992 play Ngā Pou Wahine, Brunning has been a leader in kaupapa Māori productions, directing te reo Māori productions for Taki Rua, working a alongside Taika Waititi on the Oscar-nominated Two Cars, One Night and launching Hāpai Productions with Tanea Heke.
