Briar Pomana is a mokopuna of Rakaipaaka and Kahungunu. Raised in Hawkes Bay, she is an aspiring filmmaker and writer with work that focuses specifically on a her intimate ties with whānau and whakapapa. She is a graduate of the faculty of Te Ara Poutama at AUT where she studied Māori Development, majoring in Māori Media and Cinematic Arts. Her ultimate dream is to make stuff her family and friends enjoy and live back on her whenua.
