Ruby is a poet, researcher and teina of Te Moana-Nui-a Kiwa; a daughter of Rotuma, Taveuni ma Kaikohe. She has been published in LandfallKete BooksMetroAwa Wāhine and Starling, and featured in Poetry Snaps Podcast and Auckland Museum online. In 2022, Ruby was awarded a Prime Minister's Scholarship for Latin America to study indigenous rights and histories in Brazil. Her current obsessions include Pink V, and fried bread dipped in Kokoda.
