Rebecca Hawkes is a queer Pākehā poet and painter. Her work is largely consumed by hardcore pastorals and beastly romance. Her debut chapbook Softcore Coldsores was published by Auckland University Press in AUP New Poets 5. Her first full-length collection, Meat Lovers, was released by AUP in early 2022 and won the Laurel Prize.
