Matariki Williams (Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Hauiti, Taranaki, Ngāti Whakaue, Te Atihaunui-a-Pāpārangi) is a doctoral candidate, curator, writer and editor in the arts and cultural sector. Previous roles include as Senior Historian, Mātauranga Māori at the Ministry for Culture and Heritage and Curator Mātauranga Māori at Te Papa Tongarewa, the Museum of New Zealand.

Having recently taken the post-uni plunge, Kahu is now mainly working as a Māori and climate activist and freelance writer. Tamara Tulitua is a writer of Samoan descent, who traces her lineage through the villages of Safa’ato’a, Gagāifo, Matāutu, Sapapāli’i, Vailima, and Tanugamanono. Tamara’s work has appeared in poetry anthologies, literary journals and other online publications including Turbine | Kapohau and the Dominion Post. She is a graduate of law and politics from Te Herenga Waka | Victoria University of Wellington and holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the Te Pūtahi Tuhi Auaha o Te Ao | International Institute of Modern Letters (IIML). She was the IIML Emerging Pasifika Writer in Residence in 2022.

Te Mahara Swanson Hall is from the bustling metropolis of Te Kaha, hailing from Te Whānau a Apanui, Ngāti Awa, Ngāpuhi and raised in Rotorua. When she's not flying her tino flag as a proud kaimahi mō Te Pāti Māori, she's travelling to wānanga, being a tutu with a camera and getting roped into random kaupapa by her mates like doing interviews for The Pantograph Punch lol.

Tuakoi is of Māori and Pākehā decent, hailing from the tribes of Ngāti Hine, Mataatua, Tainui, Te Arawa, Te Āti Awa and Ngāi Pākeha. 

Her debut and first opportunity in acting started in 2018 when she was cast in a drama series, ‘Ahikaaroa’. Not long after, she landed the role of Hera in the ‘one of a kind’ indigenous theatre show BLACK TIES, created by two indigenous theatre companies; Te Rēhia Theatre and Ilbijerri Theatre. The directors of Te Pou Theatre, Tainui Tukiwaho and Amber Curreen, have been a great support. 

Along with the brilliant minds of all involved and the mentorship of Tainui and Amber she was given the opportunity to write ‘KŌPŪ’, a theatre piece celebrating ira wahine. All her experiences thus far has given her the motivation and aspirations to continue to act in projects that require the positive representation of Māori, and to create content that involves all Māori that wish to pursue this path in the arts. Her appreciation never goes unnoticed for the support and love that has been given to her.
