Coming from an arts family, Jess Smith grew up in the dance studios and rehearsal rooms of Tāmaki Makaurau. Her first paid job was as a programme seller for the Opera at the Aotea Centre in 1992. She has since gone on to work with many of our leading arts organisations, venues and practitioners, as a publicist, marketer, tour manager, programmer, producer and general manager. These include Pacific Underground, ATAFA Productions, Watershed Theatre, The Edge (Auckland Live), Aotearoa Young Peoples Theatre (Massive Company), The Naked Samoans, the Topp Twins and Auckland Arts Festival. Jess has been Executive Director at Silo Theatre since August 2010
