Taualofa Totua (she/they) is a feature writer whose work is inspired by nostalgic storytelling and legacy. A cadet in the mentorship programme The Next Page, Taualofa aims to centre the voices and experiences of BIPOC. Her writings address racism, family, love, youth, feminism and the impact of colonial systems on Pacific diaspora. She has been published in Salient, Ensemble Magazine, The Spinoff, The Coconet TV and Viva Magazine. Her Moana heritage has roots in the villages Malie, Leulumoega, Sapapali'i & Tuanai in Sāmoa, and Holonga, Toula and Houma in Tonga.
